🚨Middlesex County based residents, visitors, businesses and employees!

🚴🏾Middlesex County is working on an update to the Transportation & Mobility Plan which will guide how the County makes travel safer, easier, and more reliable for all users. The first in-person public meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 27th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Middlesex College, College Center – Cafeteria C. The meeting will feature a presentation outlining the plan's objectives and initial review of mobility in the County.

🚨 Today is National Move Over Day! In NJ, drivers must slow down, and if there is an open lane, move over to give stopped vehicles space. If a lane is not available to move over, drivers must slow down below the speed limit and be prepared to stop.

🚔 It's not just for police and ambulances. The law protects tow trucks, highway workers, utility trucks, and everyday drivers like you, stranded on the shoulder.

🛑 When you see stopped vehicles, remember to slow down and move over! Let’s help keep everyone safe on New Jersey’s roads.

This week, KMM’s Julia Jarvis brought one of our newest programs, Impact Teen Drivers’ What Do You Consider Lethal?, to Highland Park High School in collaboration with The Brain Injury Alliance.

Through interactive questions and guided discussion, students explored how everyday choices, including distracted driving, speeding, and seat belt use, can have life-threatening consequences. The program encourages teens to think critically about their decisions, look out for one another, and recognize the role they play in keeping our roadways safe.

A big thank you to our partners from New Jersey DHTS, Highland Park, New Jersey and the Brain Injury Alliance of New Jersey for helping us bring this important conversation to students.

The KMM team had a great time connecting with business leaders from across Central Jersey during the 2026 Middlesex County Business Summit at the Heldrich Hotel in New Brunswick.

Brian Tobin, Executive Director, along with Christopher Gonda and Connor Wallace were on hand to discuss transportation concerns with stakeholders from facilities managers seeking to transport employees efficiently to their warehouses, to small business owners looking to navigate our region’s transportation network.

We had a blast at the North Brunswick Bike Rodeo! Thanks to everyone who came out and had some fun with us and our partners at the Mobile Family Success Center of Middlesex County. We hope to see you again next year!

We are especially grateful to the North Brunswick Township Education Association for donating money to supply helmets to kids in need.
