If you are looking for a martial art, you have come to the right place. Stop in for a cost free class. Welcome to New Britain Judo and Dynamic Arts Club.

We have been providing martial arts to central CT for over 60 years and producing world class fighters. We have been providing martial arts to the New Britain community and central Connecticut for over 50 years. Hubert "Sandy" Sanderson was the master instructor for most of those 50 years. Now, many of his students continue to volunteer their time as instructors to carry on the tradition under general manager, Sensei Henry Arroyo (Judo).

Complete success at the 2026 Nutmeg State Games Judo Championships. NBJDA fielded 18 fighters and brought home the hardware by the truck load. Kudos to all the jr and senior fighters on an outstanding performance.

We would like to extend our gratitude to Pro-Fit Judo, Stratford Judo & Valiant Judo for participating in our Saturday morning workout. It was an intense 2 hours, culminating in randori.

This past weekend culminated in our 10th Annual Awards Gala, where we commemorated our dojo's 67th anniversary, as well as honored our students and volunteers. We extend our sincere appreciation to the over 200 individuals who supported and attended this event. We would also like to express our gratitude to our sponsors: New Britain Museum of American Art, Cheng's Kitchen, Total Wine & More, Stanley Golf Course, Guglietta Plumbing & Heating, Codan Electric, Property Shop of CT. Additionally, we appreciate New Britain Mayor Bobby Sanchez for presenting NBJDA with a gracious proclamation. A scholarship was established in honor of the dojo's leader for decades, Hubert "Sandy" Sanderson.

Congratulations to Chris Corchado on achieving a bronze medal in the IJF Jr -90 kg division and a 4th place finish in the Cadet -90 kg division at the 2025 President's Cup in Irving, TX.

We are resuming competition in Irving, TX at the Dallas Open, followed by the President's Cup, subsequent to a remarkable performance at the PanAmerican Championships in Montréal. Congratulations to キャメロンカルドナ (Cam Cardona) on securing 4th place in the Elite Men's-60 kg division. Further action is scheduled for Sunday.
