As the We Keep Us Safe Series comes to a close we want to yell THANK YOU from the rooftops to everybody who contributed in any way at all. This couldn’t have been possible without each one of you and we hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did.

Please share with us your favorite memory from any of the events, how we can do better and what else you might want to see as we continue to collectively reimagine what keeps us safe in our lives. 🫂🥰

If interested in any future work, in any events that we did or in working towards more ambition goals like a state bail fund, please feel free to reach out to us! 📨

CT4A stands against prisons in any form, for any person for any age, whether that’s in our backyard or across the country. We want an end to the expansion and existence of the Prison Industrial Complex.

CT State officials tried to build a youth prison in Tolland without anyone noticing. CT4A says No to a new youth prison.

We urge residents to stay informed about what’s going on in your backyards and join us in saying “No” to new youth prisons.

During the event, vendors raised funds for local organizations or groups proving essential service and care to our community members! Thank you to all the vendors and people who made this event possible. We couldn’t do it without community!

If you missed it check out our saved story to check out the vendors and groups who were raising funds!

We see you all online, now let’s see each other in person!

We want to thank you all for all of the likes, reshares and virtual support you send our way.

If you’ve been looking for more ways to get involved irl, come out to our Mutual Aid Market in collaboration with Vibr.

There will be vendors who are donating a portion of their sales to mutual aid efforts locally and globally.

There will also be folks offering non-monetary opportunities to swap skills and services.

Bring a friend! Bring a family member! Bring a date! Or come solo and meet new people!

See you there on April 18th, 1pm at Jitter Bus Cafe in New Haven.

Thanks again to for the logo design.

Get ready for our Mutual Aid Market! ✨🫂

Join us on 4/18 for our 6th event in the “We Keep Us Safe” series! We will be gathering small CT vendors who are raising funds and supporting other exchanges for various mutual aid efforts, both locally and globally 🌎

We know that we are only as strong as our community networks, so come out and strengthen your community bonds, support mutual aid efforts and grab yourself a little coffee while you’re at it 🖤

Thank you so much to ._ for your creative input in collaborating with us on this part of the series and flyer, as well as for the flyer’s awesome illustrations! 🎨 We wanted to make sure mutual aid is at the root of this event from the start and our team truly appreciates your support.

Here are a couple of the amazing letters from our recent letter writing session and satellite sessions across the state, where we write letters of positivity to incarcerated youth, migrant detainees and the people of Palestine. No walls can ever contain the love and potential that we have. 💌💌💌

Which letter’s your favorite?

Thank you everyone who participated and all the groups who invited us to write letters with them. If your group or organization would ever be interested in hosting a satellite session, feel free to reach out! 📫🫂
