Meet our new Choir Director! We are THRILLED to welcome this talented individual to the Main Street Children's Choir. Auditions 9/22 & 9/29 5-6:30pm South Congregational - First Baptist Church.

Meg Markwith is so excited to join the Main Street Children’s Choir for the 2022-2023 season! She is a musician who wears many hats including performer, teacher, and director. Meg has directed several children’s choirs through the Bravo! program in Waterbury, a ca****la groups, and musicals including You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown and Let It Be: A Musical Tribute to the Beatles. She teaches private voice, piano, and oboe lessons at the Music and Arts in Southington and private voice online through Voice by Chelsea and has performed with orchestras and choirs throughout Connecticut as an oboist and accompanist. In addition, she leads worship weekly as the music director of the Newington United Methodist Church. Meg holds her Bachelor’s of Music in Performance from The Hartt School and her Master’s of Education in Kodály Music Education from Loyola University Maryland. When not pursuing musical endeavors, Meg can be found with a good book or playing with her two dogs, Misty and Snoop.
