Have a child that’s interested in golf? Maybe they’ve seen it on TV, maybe they’ve gone to the driving range to see how far they can hit the ball, or maybe they’ve enjoyed a summer mini golf round recently! Our New Britain PAL Golf Program can help your child with that golf itch! This past spring, our program, in coordination with the First Tee of Connecticut, consisted of over 25 children and helped them learn the basics of the game of golf. So what does this program consist of? Children had the opportunity to play on Stanley Golf Course and the Learning Links Course; they hit the driving range, learned how to read putts, went to Chris Cote’s Driving Range in Southington, made friends with PGA Tour player Alex Smalley, and our ‘Most Improved Players’ also were generously gifted a full bag of golf clubs and played 9 holes at Tumble Brook Country Club!
