New Britain Hunger Action Team The Hunger Action Team works to develop and implement local solutions to empower our neighbors to be food secure.

This is accomplished through monthly meetings where resources are shared, networking occurs and projects are accomplished.

Another great meeting. Today our group discussed summer meal sites in New Britain and the requirements. We learned about a new volunteer portal initiative offered by the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain to seek and provide volunteer opportunities. And of course I shared about the 17 million dollars the state of CT will be giving Connecticut Foodshare to combat hunger during these very difficult financial times.!
The discussion this morning was definitely rich! Thankful for the many community partners who proudly serve our neighbors. You are appreciated.
