Last week, the 5th Annual Proclaimed Freedoms Exhibition came to a close.

This inspiring collection of artwork explores the empowerment that comes from recognizing, embracing, and appreciating our differences. Through a variety of artistic perspectives, the exhibition highlights the beauty of diversity across age, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, education, national origin and more.

Thank you to all of the participating artists, including, Victor Tellez, Susan Goldberg, Eddie Hall, Clinton Deckert, Pierre Sylvain, Evan Fable for sharing your vision and talent, and to everyone who continues to support the arts in New Britain.

NHS-Gallery 66 is proud to present Voice of Color, a special Members Only Exhibition celebrating the creativity, individuality and artistic voices of our talented NHS-Gallery 66 members.

This month, we're proud to shine the spotlight on Susan Goldberg, our featured Artist Member at NHS-Gallery 66!

Susan has been a valued part of our Gallery 66 community, sharing her thoughtful and inspiring artwork in many of our exhibitions. After retiring from teaching art in Hartford, she dedicated herself to creating her own work full-time, bringing decades of experience and creativity to every piece.

Her abstract paintings and prints explore the beauty of line, color, texture, and movement. Susan's current work combines relief linoleum block printing with monotype techniques and incorporates handset letterpress type, creating unique pieces inspired by her daily walks and observations.

We're honored to feature Susan and celebrate her artistic journey. Stop by NHS-Gallery 66 to experience her work and learn more about the talented artists who make our creative community so special.

Call for NHS-Gallery 66 Artist Members...

Members are invited to participate in our upcoming Members Only Exhibition, "Voices in Color."

This exhibition celebrates the unique voices, perspectives and creativity of our talented artist members. There is no set theme, giving you the freedom to submit artwork that best represents your artistic voice.

Exhibition Details
Exhibition: Voices in Color – Members Only Show

Exhibition Dates: August 10 – October 9
Opening Reception: Saturday, September 12 | 4:00–6:00 PM

Submission Information
Please email images of up to three (3) pieces for consideration no later than Monday, August 3.
When submitting, please include:
Artist Name
Title of each work
Medium
Dimensions
Sale Price *all work must be for sale
Accepted artwork may be delivered during one of the following times:
Friday, August 7 | 4:00–6:00 PM
Saturday, August 8 | 11:00 AM–1:00 PM
Just $20 to submit up to 3 pieces/ $5 each addition

This exhibition is an opportunity to showcase the incredible diversity and talent within our Gallery 66 artist community. We encourage every member to participate and share their creative voice.

The 2nd Annual Colors of CHANGE Exhibition brought together 11 talented artists who transformed their emotions, experiences, and perspectives into powerful works of art. Through their creativity, each piece amplifies voices, challenges perspectives, inspires reflection, and ultimately, CHANGE. This exhibition ran from April 13th through June 12th.

A heartfelt thank you to the artists who made this exhibition possible: James D'Amore, Clinton Deckert, Violet Davenport, Bill Fabel, Evan Fabel, Susan Goldberg, Eddie Hall, Krystyna Konieczny, Mary Alice Landryn, and Kendall Soliwoda. Your creativity helped make this exhibition truly meaningful.

What an incredible Saturday afternoon at NHS-Gallery 66!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us this past Saturday for the opening reception of Proclaimed Freedoms.

The exhibition showcases powerful works that invite reflection, spark dialogue, and honor the diverse voices of our community. Thank you to all of the participating artists for sharing your vision and talent, and to everyone who continues to support the arts in New Britain.

If you weren't able to attend the reception, there's still time to experience the exhibition. Proclaimed Freedoms remains on view through August 8 at NHS-Gallery 66, located at 66 West Main Street, New Britain.
