Founded in 1903, Klingberg Family Centers is a private nonprofit serving children and families throughout Connecticut.

Our mission is to help build healing relationships that empower children and families to reach their full potential. Founded in 1903, Klingberg Family Centers is a private, nonprofit multi-service agency providing help to thousands of persons across Connecticut each year. Our goal is to extend hope and healing to children and families whose lives have been traumatized by abuse and/or neglect in it

s various forms, severe family problems and mental health issues. Through an array of group care, special education, foster care and community programs, children and parents are given the encouragement and skills they need to function more effectively at home, in school and in their community. Our main campus is located in New Britain, Connecticut. We also offer a wide range of community services from our office in Hartford.

"This week, Klingberg Family Centers proudly hosted our annual Juneteenth Celebration on our New Britain campus. It was a day filled with reflection, connection, and culture, as we honored Freedom Day.

A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated members of our IDEAS Committee (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Awareness, and Sensitivity), whose hard work made this meaningful event possible. Throughout the day, staff members shared powerful readings, thoughtful conversations, and celebrated the strength of our diverse community.

We were also thrilled to welcome back Hartford’s Proud Drill, Drum, and Dance Corp. Their performance energized the crowd and brought the celebration to life. A special thank you to our Zumba instructor, Anna Boose, for leading our Extended Day Treatment students in some high energy movement, and lots of smiles!

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event such a success. We are grateful to celebrate these meaningful moments together."

Screening Connecticut's Youth, a program at Klingberg Family Centers, offers free, quick and convenient mental health screens for youth in Connecticut ages 4 to 17. Screens are available in English and Spanish.
