In Loving Memory of Earle L. Jackson, Sr.
It is with heavy hearts that QANC shares the passing of Earle L. Jackson, Sr., who died this past Saturday.
A Plainville native, gifted athlete, Vietnam veteran, and accomplished sales executive, Mr. Jackson spent his life dedicated to keeping the story of African Americans in Plainville alive. He believed deeply in community and in investing in our future by supporting young people — a commitment QANC was proud to honor in 2023 by renaming our youth program the Earle L. Jackson, Sr. Watoto Program.
Through the Watoto Program, his legacy continues to shape young lives — using the arts and an Afro-centric model to foster a strong, positive self-image in the children and youth we serve. Every child who walks through our doors will carry forward a piece of what he gave to this community.
We extend our deepest condolences to Mr. Jackson's family and loved ones. Thank you, Mr. Jackson, for your service, your generosity, and your unwavering belief in our young people. Your legacy will live on through the Watoto Program for generations to come.
Rest in peace.
