Congrats to graduating senior Siri Stolen for winning 2024 Moose Valuable Skier! Each year, 2 high school skiers are selected for their exceptional character, including sportsmanship and empowerment. Siri embodies these and more, and the team is so proud of her!

We are pleased to announce the two winners of this year’s Moose Valuable Skier Award: Adele Haeg of DeLaSalle High School and Siri Stolen of Irondale. These two Minnesota high school skiers were nominated by their community and chosen for living out the Moose Nordic ideals of sportsmanship, humili...

Sections results are in... and 9 Knights are going to the State Meet! The girls qualified as the 2nd place team. This is the girls' first team qualification since 2015- and the entire Sections team will be back next year! Noah (5th) and Luke (8th), by a hard-fought .2 seconds, earned individual qualifications on the boys side.

And it's a wrap, on what Coach Torvi called the best first week of practice in his 22 years of coaching. Irondale Trails were the first groomed trails in the twin cities this season and are open this weekend for your enjoyment!

You may have heard the rumblings, or chainsaws... Irondale Trails got a long awaited extension this season! The new section, on the west side of the creek, is flat and features wide open views of Rice Creek backwaters not typically accessible in the summer. Our skiers will be out enjoying the trails today, for the first time this season. See you out there!

After a busy ski racing schedule this winter, the Irondale Trails will play host to the Solace Orphanage community 5K run on August 28th. The course starts in Long Lake Park, does a full loop of the ski trails, then returns to the park. The county has been maintaining the trails beautifully this summer, we expect great conditions.

Details at https://solaceorphanage.org/5k-run/, see you out there!

Congratulations to the Irondale boys on their 2nd place Sections finish and state qualification! The girls fought through mushy snow and puddles (ponds?) of water in their races, finishing 4th.

Thank you Skinnyski for the photos!

On Friday, we hosted Forest Lake for our first inter-school meet of the season. Conditions on the Irondale trails were tough, with wet snow and rain, but the skiers powered through. Our season continues next week at Como GC.

With the sporting pause, our first race of the year will be a virtual time trial. We've set up a 4K skate course on the TCAAP trails, including some encouragement chalked on to the asphalt.

Alumni and community skiers are welcome to take part in the event as well!

As Coach Torvi readies the new Grizzly ATV for the 2020 season, we fondly look back to 2010 for the (then) new snowmobile groomer.

This winter, the Grizzly will tackle the twists and turns of the Irondale trails - will you?
