Today we celebrate 230 years of Tennessee Statehood! 🇺🇸

On June 1, 1796, Tennessee became the 16th state admitted to the Union.

Tennessee is proudly known as the "Volunteer State," a nickname earned through the willingness of its citizens to answer the nation's call to service. From the War of 1812 to later conflicts, thousands of Tennesseans volunteered to defend our country, leaving a legacy of patriotism and sacrifice that continues to inspire us today.

As members of the Daughters of the American Revolution, we honor the legacy of the patriots and pioneers who helped build our state and nation. As we look toward America’s 250th anniversary, we proudly remember Tennessee’s enduring contributions to the American story.

Happy Tennessee TN230 Statehood Day! ❤️🤍💙
