South Texas Bobwhite Brigade - Texas Brigades South Texas Bobwhite Brigade is a 5-day, leadership and conservation camp for ages 13-17. Camp information: June 24-28, 2023 in McCoy, TX

South Texas Bobwhite Brigade is a hands-on, 5-day, immersive learning experience designed to educate participants about the anatomy and biology of bobwhite quail, bobwhite diet and nutritional needs, habitat requirements, covey dynamics, predator and habitat management, and natural resource management. South Texas Bobwhite Brigade is a program of Texas Brigades, a Texas-based 501(c)(3) focused on

educating and empowering adolescents to become conservation ambassadors for a sustained natural resource legacy. Applications are available November 1st - March 15th on the Texas Brigades website.

The Executive Director will be responsible for providing visionary leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight to ensure the organization’s long-term success and impact. This role involves the management of staff, supporting volunteer efforts, the oversight of youth conservation camps, educational programs, fundraising, and partnership development efforts that align with the Texas Brigades mission.

This past weekend we had a couple of cadets from this year’s battalion of South Texas Bobwhite Brigade - Texas Brigades visit South Texas Quail Coalition’s annual banquet. They can now add this activity to their record books and apply for a scholarship and become assistant covey leaders in 2025! Thanks for spreading the word!
