A message from our librarian, Mrs. Schulte:

Reading just twenty minutes can make a difference! Research estimates that children who read about 20 minutes a day encounter roughly 1.6 million more words a year than those who read about five minutes daily. Daily reading helps build vocabulary, comprehension, empathy and critical thinking skills that support academic growth.

Try trading 15–20 minutes of video game or TV time for a book. Read together, explore unfamiliar words, and talk about the story. Making reading part of your family’s routine is a small investment with a huge return.

Don't forget to log those minutes into Beanstack! Help us reach our 1 Million minute school-wide goal.

Happy reading, dragons! 🤓
