And Kristen is off and running in her new office as Judge! Still missing Judge Krause!!
Kristen Hoyt has been appointed Comal County Judge after a unanimous vote by the Commissioners Court. She was sworn in today by District Judge Gary Steel, and the appointment takes effect immediately.
Hoyt previously served as Comal County Tax Assessor Collector and was the Republican primary winner on March 3. She does not have a Democratic opponent in the November election.
Hoyt fills the seat left vacant after the passing of longtime Comal County Judge Sherman Krause. Judge Krause served this community with dedication and heart for many years, and his loss continues to be deeply felt by members of Commissioners Court, county staff, and the community he cared so deeply about.
“I am committed to honoring Judge Krause’s legacy by serving with the same humility and care he showed,” Hoyt said. “I also look forward to working alongside the members of Commissioners Court as we continue serving the people of Comal County and planning for our county’s future.”
