North Texas Buckskin Brigade is a hands-on, 5-day, immersive learning experience designed to educate participants about the ecology of white-tailed deer, its habitat and diet, population dynamics, and natural resource management. North Texas Buckskin Brigade is a program of Texas Brigades, a Texas-based 501(c)(3) focused on educating and empowering adolescents to become conservation ambassadors fo

#2 We love to teach Leadership, Critical Thinking and Decision Making Skills through games!! We have herds (small groups) compete against the clock and each other with games where they have to work together to solve the problem!

Sometimes we blindfold cadets to change things up, or make a few mute for the round. No matter what the cadet have fun and they learn to work together and lead each other well.

They are some of the best in their field (if they are not THE best) and they are investing in the youth of tomorrow by pouring into them for 5 days! These experts are volunteers and spend all year meeting and planning to make camp AMAZING! During camp they get very little sleep, and exhaust themselves teaching and they love every minute of it!!

Camp is a chance to get away from everything and plug into the outdoors, nature and wildlife!
Our cadets go home with a new appreciation for plants (usually an increased interest in plants too), nature and all of its beauty!
We wake up and watch the sunrise one morning by a large lake and enjoy all of nature waking up with the sun!
Getting unplugged from everything else and plugging in to the outdoors is a refreshing change for most of our cadets!
