Our CaboSmiles Feb26 Children's Facial Cleft Differences corrective surgical mission just concluded with our tremendous team of specialists working in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Our supporters, Rotary district 5340, Rotary District 4100, Smilesinternationalfoundation.org, Children's Lifeline Intl , and Rotary Club of Carlsbad, Club Rotario Los Cabos, as well as the individual personal contributions of our specialty team of Anesthiologists, Craniomaxillofacial surgeons, ENT surgeons, Speech/Language Pathologists, Skilled operating & recovery nurses, Orthododontist, and administrative staff coming together to provide over 85 surgical procedures this week. Everything from the Children's primary Cleft lip and Palate, nasal and otological, speech and jaw growth difficulties were addressed successfully.
Specialty reconstructive surgery under pediatric anesthesia was provided free-of-charge for 16 complex cases over the course of this visit with special gratitude given to Dr. Alejandro Avalos of the Hospital de Especialidades, and Dr. Arturo Andrade of the American Health Center (AMC) hospital for their generous donation of their operating rooms and clinical spaces.
