What a wonderful course having such skilled participants! Several American Society of TMJ Surgeons members shared their minimally invasive TMJ arthroscopy techniques and science this past week’s Mar26 session at the PCRF TMJ Arthroscopy Cadaver Mini Residency course held at the new Arthrex San Antonio Mission med center.

With registrants coming in from distances as far as Taiwan and Thailand as well as across USA an international fellowship of advanced learning unfolded with learning the proven Choi-Seldinger-Moses joint entry and office based Arthrex NanoScope techniques for Level I, II, & III surgery combined with Arthrocare Ablator and Ho-Yag release procedures. The exciting development of FDA approved-disposable Nano-Scope by Arthrex Orthopedics with the 30-degree HDR imaging surpassing most rigid rod-lens scopes in clarity finds an additional benefit in the field of OMFS orthopedics. This disposable needle arthroscope in the sterile pre-packaged units, are easily & routinely reimbursed for costs when used in accredited centers.

Forward-thinking Oral/Maxillofacial Surgeons achieving AAAHC accreditation using this system makes office based TMJ arthroscopic patient management affordable and predicable by achieving AAAHC accreditation which is also covered at these courses.

Our CaboSmiles Feb26 Children's Facial Cleft Differences corrective surgical mission just concluded with our tremendous team of specialists working in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Our supporters, Rotary district 5340, Rotary District 4100, Smilesinternationalfoundation.org, Children's Lifeline Intl , and Rotary Club of Carlsbad, Club Rotario Los Cabos, as well as the individual personal contributions of our specialty team of Anesthiologists, Craniomaxillofacial surgeons, ENT surgeons, Speech/Language Pathologists, Skilled operating & recovery nurses, Orthododontist, and administrative staff coming together to provide over 85 surgical procedures this week. Everything from the Children's primary Cleft lip and Palate, nasal and otological, speech and jaw growth difficulties were addressed successfully.

Specialty reconstructive surgery under pediatric anesthesia was provided free-of-charge for 16 complex cases over the course of this visit with special gratitude given to Dr. Alejandro Avalos of the Hospital de Especialidades, and Dr. Arturo Andrade of the American Health Center (AMC) hospital for their generous donation of their operating rooms and clinical spaces.

It was just a week ago that our team completed a mission surgical clinic in Cabo San Lucas, supported by the partnerships between Smilesinternationalfoundation.org, Children's Lifeline Intl, District 5340 Rotary Club of Carlsbad, District 4100 Club Rotario Los Cabos, and Rotario Tecate AC as my home club.

We were blessed to perform follow-up surgery and Speech Therapy, Orthognathic dentofacial preparation, and new infants' reconstructive surgeries treating 60 patients selected from a patient base of 370 children afflicted with Cleft Facial Differences. 17 children were given advanced pediatric anesthesia so that 76 surgical procedures were able to be performed over the 4.5 surgical days.

A mountain of praise and gratitude goes to our many supporters and volunteers for their donation of skills and provisions making this charitable care possible and sustainable over the many years of biannual mission longitudinal "Service-above-Self"
