Texas Brigades

Leadership development and natural resource conservation education for adolescents.

Texas Brigades’ mission is to educate and empower youths with leadership skills and knowledge in wildlife, fisheries, and land stewardship to become conservation ambassadors for a sustained natural resource legacy. Texas Brigades has a combination of educational programs, including nine summer camps: Bobwhite Brigade (quail), Buckskin Brigade (deer), Bass Brigade, Waterfowl Brigade (ducks and gee

se), Ranch Brigade (cattle), and Coastal Brigade (marine life). Applications for summer camps are available November 1st - March 15th on the Texas Brigades website.

What a day, and what an Experience!
We recently wrapped up the third year of the Exploring Baffin Bay Texas Brigades Experience. From water quality, fishing, and wildlife exploration to birding, seining, and hands-on watershed demonstrations, participants had the chance to experience Baffin Bay up close.

One day on the water can go a long way to spark curiosity and create a lifelong connection to the coast and conservation.

Be sure to submit your $100 camp deposit by May 15. Please submit your deposit online through CampDoc.

You may also mail camp deposits to our office or make a deposit through our online donation page.

It's National Volunteer Week!🎉

We want to take this week to celebrate all of our volunteers. Our volunteers are the backbone of our organization, and make all of our programs possible!

Texas Brigades volunteers do it all! From educating to cooking, they strive to use every opportunity to connect with our youth through meaningful conversations and guided hands-on activities.

Our volunteers help make our vision a reality of creating conservation leaders in every community. We are thankful for all the time, hard work, and passion for land stewardship our volunteers put into Texas Brigades! Thank you, volunteers!👏

We have a small number of openings left for this year's Texas Brigades Exploring Baffin Bay Experience!

Participation in this one-day event is FREE! Kids ages 9-17 are invited to spend the day exploring the bay’s unique ecosystem through engaging, hands-on activities. From fishing to learning how to collect water samples, participants will get an up-close look at the science behind the estuary in their own backyard.
