🚨 Big Opportunity for Police Departments

The DOJ just revealed nearly $700 Million in COPS grants.

That’s real money available right now for hiring, retention, officer wellness, training, school safety, active shooter preparedness, and more.

Departments — stop talking about the staffing crisis and go get your share of these free resources.

Use it to train your officers better, support their wellness, and actually keep good cops on the job.

Deadlines are coming up fast (many in late July), so don’t sleep on this.

This is taxpayer money meant for the field. Make sure it actually helps the men and women wearing the badge.

Six months into 2026, and we want to thank the community that has stood with us this year.

The work this association does is only possible because of the people who believe in it. Members. Families. Friends of the association. Every single person who supports the mission plays a part in what we are able to do, even when the work is quiet and behind the scenes.

We are not at the finish line. The need does not pause at the halfway mark, and neither do we.

Tag someone who has supported this association in any way this year. They should know it has not gone unnoticed.

82 years ago today, more than 156,000 Allied troops crossed the English Channel and stormed five beaches along the coast of Normandy, France. By the end of June 6, 1944, over 4,400 of them had given their lives. The largest amphibious invasion in human history changed the trajectory of World War II and, with it, the world.

Many members of this association are veterans. Many have parents and grandparents who served. The legacy of the men who landed at Normandy lives in the people who wear a uniform today, regardless of which one it is.

Today, this association honors them. Their courage was the cost of the freedoms we still defend every shift.

Share this post in honor of the men who gave everything on June 6, 1944.

Today is Memorial Day. Not a long weekend. Not a sale. A day set aside to remember the men and women who gave everything.

The roots of this holiday go back to May 1868, when General John A. Logan issued a proclamation designating May 30 as a day to decorate the graves of those who died in the Civil War. What began as flowers placed on graves eventually grew into a national observance honoring every American service member lost in every conflict this country has ever fought. More than 1.3 million Americans have died in military service throughout the nation's history.

Our members are working today, as they do on every holiday, keeping this community safe while families gather to remember. We do not take that lightly on any day, but especially not this one.

Share this post to make sure the original meaning of this day reaches your entire network.

Thank you to our Officers for “volunteering” to work on your time off for the citizens and the tourists. We all want everyone to be safe this weekend!

Keep in mind the toll this takes on Officers as they are in the elements. This is a good reminder that this town is not just a “small town” and we need to be able to provide the same standard of service to everyone, tax payers and tourists.

A police official said staffing will be adjusted for the weekend based on projected crowds, with officers deployed in vehicles and on foot around rivers and key areas in New Braunfels to ensure public safety. đź”— bit.ly/4987eeU

Today is Peace Officer Memorial Day, and our association is pausing to honor it the right way.

On October 1, 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed Public Law 87-726, officially designating May 15 as the day this nation recognizes law enforcement personnel killed or disabled in the line of duty. According to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, an average of 150 to 160 law enforcement professionals are killed in the line of duty every year in the United States.

In observance of this day, we are running a fundraising drive. Financial stability for surviving families is not a bonus. It is a responsibility we take seriously.

Today is Children of Fallen Patriots Day, and it is one of the more sobering dates on the calendar.

May 13 was chosen for this observance because it marks the day Arlington National Cemetery was established in 1864. That connection is intentional. The Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation estimates that approximately 25,000 children have lost a parent in the line of military duty over the last 35 years. Without support, only 20 percent of those children complete college. With the foundation's assistance, that rate rises to 91 percent.

These are children who carried a loss most people their age could not begin to understand. Many members of this association are veterans. We do not take this day lightly.

Share this post to bring visibility to the children and families still carrying the cost of military service.

🚨 STAGGERING FBI DATA 🚨
90,178 officer assaults in 2025.

Officers were assaulted at a rate of 13.8 assaults per 100 officers, the highest officer assault rate recorded in the past 10 years.

This is the reality behind the badge.

TMPA will never apologize for standing with the men and women who walk into danger to protect our communities.

This week is National Police Week, and it carries a weight that words do not always do justice to.

National Police Week 2026 runs from May 11 through May 17, with memorial ceremonies, honor guard tributes, and survivor events taking place across Washington D.C. This year marks the 38th Annual Candlelight Vigil, where the names of every law enforcement professional killed in the line of duty in the past year are read aloud, one by one, in front of the families and colleagues they left behind.

For our association, this week is personal.

The members we represent know what it takes to put on the uniform every day. They know the names of the ones who did not come home. They carry that with them on every shift, and they show up anyway, because that is the job.

Share this post so every name remembered this week reaches one more person.
