Cross Canadian Ragweed has made a mind-blowing donation to this year’s Corn Hole for a Cause 2025 benefitting Light Work 316, Inc., and it’s one you won’t want to miss out on!

They’ve donated a limited-edition Stillwater Reunion Guitar SIGNED by ALL band members- Cody Canada, Jeremy Plato, Grady Cross and Randy Ragsdale, TWO tickets to their April 11, 2026 concert in Stillwater, OK, TWO nights hotel accommodations at Marriot SpringHill Suites Stillwater, and a full Rag Schwag bundle (because you can’t roll into Stillwater without the proper gear).

We’ve got 150 donation envelopes available and when they’re gone, they’re gone! 🎟️

All proceeds benefit Light Work 316, Inc., a local nonprofit with a mission to provide compassionate practical, emotional, and financial support to families with children facing life threatening or terminal illness and the weight of loss. From birthday parties and Christmas gifts, to bereavment programs and financial resources, Light Work 316 shines light and hope where it’s needed most.

Keep catching the monsters Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office!!
We appreciate your efforts

Early this morning the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit was requested to assist the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office in locating and apprehending Zachary Vigil, wanted for Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact.

Vigil was located and arrested by Sheriff’s Deputies in the Geronimo area. He was booked into the Guadalupe County Adult Detention Center.

“There will be no safe harbor or passage in Guadalupe County for those that hurt children. Whether the crime is here or elsewhere, we will find you and you will go to jail,” Sheriff Joshua Ray.

If you are a parent grieving the loss of a child, we want you to know that you are not alone.

In partnership with Hope Hospice, Light Work 316, Inc., and Point of Light Grief Coaching, we invite you to a free, monthly, supportive space to help you navigate this immense heartbreak.

This gentle, caring group is open to all parents who have lost a child, at any age or stage of life—from pre-born to adult.

We invite you to join us as we come together, share the legacies of our children, and support one another, as we learn to walk this path together.

This group is confidential and guided by a certified grief coach

🗓 When: Saturday, October 11th at 9 AM
📍 Where: Westside Community Center
💜 Cost: Free – all grieving parents are welcome

We understand that grief can feel isolating, but together, we can find comfort and hope on this journey ahead.

Thank you Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office and Schertz Police Department for keeping our kids and community safer!!

On 10/02/2025 the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit working in concert with Schertz PD Detectives located and apprehended Manuel Mercado. Mercado was wanted for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, a 1st degree felony. Mercado’s arrest stems from an ongoing Schertz PD criminal investigation. Mercado was transported and booked into the Guadalupe County Adult Detention Facility.

Thank you Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office!!

The Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) and Fugitive Apprehension Units (FAU), located a wanted subject identified as Ricardo Orozco in the City of Schertz. Orozco had an active warrant for Possession of Child Po*******hy. The subject was placed under arrest without incident and transported to the Guadalupe County Adult Detention Facility.
