Day 2:

I believe you will come like the rain. Have you ever heard that song sung by Jesus Culture? It’s called “My Soul Longs For You!” This song comes out of Hosea 6:3. But let’s take a look at Hosea 6: 1-3 .
“And they will say to one another: “Come, everyone! Come back to Yahweh. Although he hit us hard, now he will heal us. Although he wounded us, now he will bandage our wounds. After two days, he will revive us, and on the third day he will raise us up. Then we will live in his presence and truly know him. Let us come to know Yahweh intimately and eagerly press in to know him fully. He will come to us as surely as the sun rises to greet us each day. He will come to us like refreshing rain, like a spring rain that showers the earth.””
‭‭Hosea‬ ‭6‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭TPT‬‬
God is not just hitting us or wounding us because He’s cruel …. the attachments and the things that hurt or hinder His best, these things we have in our lives are painful when they’re removed or dealt with, but He is always faithful to heal us, provide for us, and deliver us.

My soul heard this song over and over sung by my spirit. Did you know your spirit sings? I’ll hear my spirit sing over my soul quite often. Our spirits are what is connected to the Spirit of God and He ( The Holy Spirit) knows the heart of the Father. This ( our spirit) is the part of us that hears His voice.
Look at this ….

“However, there is a wisdom that we continually speak of when we are among the spiritually mature. It’s wisdom that didn’t originate in this present age, nor did it come from the rulers of this age who are in the process of being dethroned. (Did you catch that … they are in a process of being dethroned, those are things in our lives that He will remove and it may feel painful to us, but is for our best. - Let’s continue reading the verses. ) Instead, we continually speak of this wonderful wisdom that comes from God, hidden before now in a mystery. It is His secret plan, destined before the ages, to bring us into glory. None of the rulers of this present world order understood it, for if they had, they never would have crucified the Lord of shining glory. This is why the Scriptures say: Things never discovered or heard of before, things beyond our ability to imagine — these are the many things God has in store for all His lovers. But God now unveils these profound realities to us by the Spirit. Yes, He has revealed to us His inmost heart and deepest mysteries through the Holy Spirit, who constantly explores all things. After all, who can really see into a person’s heart and know his hidden impulses except for that person’s spirit? So it is with God. His thoughts and secrets are only fully understood by His Spirit, the Spirit of God.”

WOW!! Could there be so much more to what we’re understanding right now? Let me assure you. Yes! Remember,
No eye has seen or ever heard what God has in store for those who love Him and are called according to His purposes.! (That’s us. ) The Lord is letting His people know He will come like the rain. What is removed He will fill again with His perfect goodness, what is bruised He will heal. What is taken will be restored.
What does rain do? Waters, grows, replenishes, hydrates, & brings to life. He also said it rains on the just and unjust! God is good. He will provide. He will hear when we cry out. He is with us even in the fire. Think of that gentle, consistent flow of rain, lightly falling on our skin and falling on the Earth. It’s producing much.!!!!

My Conversations With God❤️
Day 1:
Be still… sometimes in life, we have to contend for our peace. In the midst of “the busy”, those times of sitting down, quitting ourselves, forgetting about what’s going on, and paying attention to what the Lord is saying (because he’s always speaking), it can easily be stripped away from us. UNLESS …we will become intentional and focused. (but you have to know in the meantime, he’s still doing something to get us to the place of hearing and understanding Himself. )
The Lord and I have decided we are going to share our conversations with you!
I’ve always been a thinker. I’ve always been curious. I always wonder. And I love throughout the years how God has invaded my mind and renewed it. (He always uses songs and music to catch me. That’s kind of how I roll.)
I was 14 years old and I was listening to “The Alter Boys,” a Christian punk band, 🤭 and Mike Stand (I don’t know if that is his real name 🎙️ ). He shouted out in one of his songs Romans, 12:2. You can find it on their album called “When You’re A Rebel!” (a little shout out for the Alter Boys).
He shouted it with such passion and seriousness, and it hooked me!!! Sound of distorted. Electric guitar rang out and he shouted.!!!!!!
“ DO NOT conform to the world, but be TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your mind so that you can prove what the will of God is, what is Good, Acceptable, and PERFECT!
(more distorted electric guitar, the drummer comes in pounding… He beat those toms and bass drum!!!!
Now…
Being the way I am, God needed me to get a hold of that verse through a sound of passion and intensity because you know how they say. There are people that are always in their head. That was me, still is… I see it in my daughter, I see it in my son. I thought for the longest time it was a weird thing, but it’s not…that’s why the Lord wanted me to take Romans 12:2 and apply it to the majority of my Christian life. Let’s read it again! but let’s add the first verse of Romans 12 out of the Passion translation!!!! (for those who know me know that’s my favorite)

The Transforming Power of the Gospel!

“Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? To surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship. Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.”

WOW! If we look at worshiping God this way, not about sacrificing ourselves, but that we get to experience all that delights his heart??? Where’s the sacrifice!!! He always has good for us! We’re not losing anything when we give our lives to him! And usually we do it after we’ve made a huge mess of things. We benefit, we gain, we’re transformed into beauty. We become like him. We enjoy the relationship with a perfect God, perfect father, perfect friend, perfect lover of our soul! Think about that today…

Father, we thank you for the encounters that we have when we spend time with you. We thank you that even when we’re not paying attention that you’re speaking, that you’re pursuing and calling us through songs, through foods, through smells, through sounds! Because you want our attention. We love you back, take our hearts and metamorphose us into your image and likeness.
In Jesus’ name, amen!
