New Braintree Grange

New Braintree Grange The word "grange" itself comes from a Latin word for grain, and is related to a "granary" or, generically, a farm.

"The Grange provides opportunities for individuals and families to develop to their highest potential in order to build stronger communities and states, as well as a stronger nation."

Registration is Open! You’re Invited! Join farmers from all over New England for Harvest New England’s Agricultural Marketing Conference & Trade Show at the end of February! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the uncertainty surrounding large, in-person events, the board has made the decision to host a virtual conference at no cost to attendees. We feel strongly that now more than ever, it’s important to provide agricultural businesses throughout the Northeast with the tools to remain viable, cultivate innovators, and develop the next generation of farmers to feed and clothe our region and beyond.

We are sorry to report that because of the pandemic as well as some injuries to some of our members, we have to cancel our Annual Pig Roast. We will have it back next Fall. Again, we apologize.

Our 9th Annual Pig Roast was quite a success. We served over 130 people and had more than 25 take out orders. The raffle tables had 61 items with donations from places like Tip Top, EB Flats, Wachusett Mountain, Big Y, Dunkins, etc. Door prize of a free Christmas tree was donated by Kip's Tree Farm. Thank you Kip! We work hard to put this event on. We start planning not far after we finish the previous year's Pig Roast. To actually put the dinner on takes two days. Friday night is prep work&set up of the hall and Saturday we start early cooking everything so it's fresh when we serve the food that evening. We would like to thank the members of New Braintree Grange for their hard work and dedication. Thank you Jenn Perchak&her little helpers from Walker Farm At Whortleberry Hill, Sarah Jordan from Holden Grange&Jordan Dairy Farm and Rutland Scouts Troop 141 for their amazing help. Thank you for all those who came out to support this event by buying tickets, donating to the raffle tables and enjoying some delicious food. Of course, thank you Adams Farm in Athol for always doing a fantastic job smoking the pigs. Keep checking back for posting on our other programs and for next Fall as we celebrate our 10th Annual Pig Roast.

We've got tickets! They won't last.
