It was amazing to see so many people out enjoying the trail today. Just a gentle reminder, Class 1 & 2 e-bikes that go up to 20 mph are allowed to use the rail trail however, Class 3, are not allowed. If you are using a class 1 or 2 e-bike please make sure to be respectful to others on the trail and slow down as you are passing through busy sections.

Enjoy this beautiful weather everyone!

In light of the recent tragic trail accident in MA, we are reposting trail etiquette about sharing the trails with horses. Today, fewer members of the general public have any experience with horses. At least one rider has had close calls when people have opted to beep from behind rather than just say hello. and a bad fall when a cyclist zipped across the path just ahead of the horse and rider and didn't even stop to see if the fallen rider was ok. We assume that most people do want to be respectful, but not everyone knows it's not okay to jog or cycle right by without stopping first. Stop, say hello, ask to pass -- it's just that simple.

Sign the Petition to protect the Merrimack River Greenway Trail in Concord. A Massachusetts-based "rail bike" company is appealing NHDOT requesting a "25-year lease with renewal option" to operate their private commercial enterprise ("Scenic Railriders") which would require leaving rails on the trail, significantly increasing the danger for bicyclists, and rendering the trail unsuitable for other uses, due to the rails. Please sign this petition now by clicking this link! --> https://www.merrimackrivergreenwaytrail.org/petition-info
