Tonight we had the honor of awarding Maureen (Moe) Mansfield with the 2026 Joe English Grange Community Citizen Award.
This award is to recognize and celebrate the many contributions that Maureen has shared with the community of New Boston for 60 years! Moe was committed to educating the children of New Boston, a career that spanned 40 years at the New Boston Central School. During those years she also dedicated much of her time working along side her husband Tom and his father Paul, maintaining the cemeteries in New Boston.
She has served as the Superintendent of the cemetery since 1991. Moe still devotes countless hours maintaining the cemetery and coordinating with families, funeral directors and monument companies. Her dedication, time and effort goes far beyond the expectations of the job.
