🐴✨ Calling all 4-H’ers enrolled in a horse project... this one is for YOU!

We’re excited to team up with Joe Stanco to bring an Equine First Aid Workshop right here in Perry County! Get ready for a hands-on learning experience where you’ll build real-life skills every horse owner should know.

You’ll practice things like:
❤️ Taking TPR (temperature, pulse, respiration)
🐎 Checking pulse and capillary refill
…and so much more!

Wrapped up Farm City for the year on a high note! 🎉🌾

We spent yesterday at Susquenita Elementary visiting all of the kindergarten classrooms and sharing the 5 F’s of agriculture. There were so many great questions, big smiles, and excited learners!

It was an all around awesome day, and it wouldn’t have been the same without the help of Haleigh, Sierra, and Claire. Thank you all so much!! 👏

It’s 4-H Paper Clover time! 🍀🍀🍀

To participate, visit a Tractor Supply store between April 17 and May 3, get your paper clover, and donate at checkout. Proceeds will help send kids in PA to 4-H camp or other 4-H leadership programs!

Wrapped up the week with a couple more Farm City stops at Newport and Blain Elementary where we spent time with some awesome kindergarten and 1st grade classes! 🌾🐄

Farm City fun kept rolling yesterday with a visit to New Bloomfield Elementary! 🚜🌾
We spent the day with kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders diving into all things agriculture, and let’s just say, there were lots of great questions and even bigger smiles!

We were lucky to have a special guest, Leah the Perry County Dairy Princess 👑🥛, plus three rockstar presenters who knocked it out of the park. Huge shoutout to Jensyn Dillman, Regan Darr, and Julia Mcnaughton for all your hard work and energy. You make Farm City even more fun! 🙌

Wrapped up the week with one last Farm City stop at Carroll Elementary, spending time with some awesome kindergarteners and 1st graders! 🐄🌽
Let’s just say… the questions Julia and Regan got today were next level 😂 You might want to ask them about a few of those as there were definitely some unforgettable ones in the mix! 🤣

Day 2 of Farm City fun = complete! 🚜🐄🌽

We spent the day at Greenwood Elementary kicking things off with first grade, then headed to kindergarten, and wrapped up our day with second grade. Such a busy day but so much fun!

We even had a special guest, Leah the Perry County Dairy Princess 👑🥛, who helped make the day extra exciting during our second grade lesson.

Huge shoutout to Regan Darr, Julia Mcnaughton and Leah for all your help today, couldn’t have done it without you! 💚
Already looking forward to the next stop! 🎉

We kicked off Farm City this morning with a visit to some awesome second graders at Carroll Elementary! 🐄🥛
They learned all about dairy, and even got hands on experience making their own butter! 🧈👏 Such a fun way to bring agriculture to life and see those smiles in action!
Can’t wait for the rest of our Farm City visits! 🌱

We have been invited again to join Cumberland County 4-H for their Speak Out Night happening April 23rd at the Cumberland County Extension Office.

This is a great opportunity to practice and enhance public speaking skills while getting to interact with other members from surrounding counties! Participation at this event also brings opportunities to speak at state contests later down the road :)
