We thank everyone who donated to this important project for our Veterans. We appreciate our Daughters who along with the SAR delivered these items to the Kinston Veterans Home. Great teamwork and partnership.

Tammy Gillette, Regent of the Richard Dobbs Spaight Chapter and Gary Gillette President of the New Bern Chapter, SAR were honored to be guests at the Eastern North Carolina Food Bank for the delivery of the America 250 truck bringing almost 80,000 pounds of food to help local food banks feed families in Craven, Pamlico, Jones and Onslow County.

This was truck number 209 of 250 trucks that will deliver food to community food banks across the country this year and the 4th to come to North Carolina. The goal is 250 trucks of donated food for America 250!

Unfortunately, our country is seeing a rise in food insecurity, and the hope is to make a difference in our communities. Thank you to Michael and Dalene Howard for your invitation and your hard work on this amazing project.
