Sometimes protecting people doesn’t start with having all the answers. Sometimes it starts with paying attention.

Paying attention to changes in behavior, when something feels off, and knowing when someone needs a safe adult to listen.

Awareness isn’t about becoming suspicious of everyone. It’s about becoming more willing to notice, learn and care.

The more communities understand, the better equipped we are to support vulnerable people and create safer spaces.

Thank you for choosing to learn with us.

What’s something you wish more people understood about prevention or support?

🎉🏡 We Have a New Graduate... and It's Moving Time! 🏡🎉

Today we are celebrating a remarkable milestone!

After months of hard work, courage, perseverance, and healing, one of our residents has successfully completed the True Justice Restoration Program and is stepping into a brand-new season of independence.

She has worked tirelessly to overcome trauma, addiction, and the challenges of her past. Through counseling, recovery, life skills training, boundary work, personal growth, and unwavering determination, she has done the hard work required to build a new future.

Today, we couldn't be more proud.

As she moves into her own home, we are asking our True Justice family to join us in praying for her continued protection, provision, peace, and success as she begins this exciting new chapter.

If you would like to help her get started, we are collecting gift cards to Walmart and Wayfair to help furnish her home and provide some of the essentials needed for independent living.

Every gift, prayer, and word of encouragement reminds her that she is not alone and that her community believes in her.

💙 Please message us for more details if you would like to help.

Together, we are witnessing restoration in action.

Healing isn’t usually one big moment. More often, it looks like small progress over time:

❤️ A safe place.
❤️ Consistent Support.
❤️ People who show up.
❤️ Skills learned.
❤️ Trust rebuilt.

Those small moments matter.

Thank you for being part of creating opportunities for restoration and hope. Follow along to learn more about the work being done and ways you can support the mission.

When people think of trafficking, they often picture strangers.

But many survivors were harmed by someone they knew, trusted, depended on, or believed cared about them. That’s one of the reasons awareness matters so much. Exploitation doesn’t always look the way people expect.

Sometimes helping starts with noticing. Sometimes it starts with listening, sometimes it starts with learning. Every person deserves safety, dignity and the opportunity to rebuild.

Thank you for caring enough to learn and stand with survivors.

What’s something that you’ve learned about trafficking that surprised you?

❤️

People often think recovery is a single moment.

But in reality, healing is usually a process filled with small victories most people never see.

❤️ A healthy conversation.
❤️ A peaceful night of sleep.
❤️ Learning boundaries.
❤️ Feeling hope again.

At True Justice, we get to witness those moments firsthand - and they matter deeply.

As we close out Mental Health Awareness Month we are reminded that healing deserves support, patience and compassion.

What strategies would you share with survivors who are struggling in their mental health journey?

Their sacrifice made freedoms possible that many of us experience every day.

As we spend time with family, rest, or gather with friends, may we also take a moment to reflect with gratitude and remembrance.

Some gave all, all gave some.

People are not defined by their hardest moments. Every person has gifts, potential, purpose, and the ability to continue becoming who they were created to be.

Healing and restoration don’t erase the past, but they can create space for new chapters filled with hope, stability, and opportunity.

At True Justice, we are currently in the process of developing a second safe house for survivors of human trafficking. This will be a place of safety, healing, and restoration for women rebuilding their lives after trauma and exploitation. It is a big vision — and a costly project — but one we believe is deeply needed in Eastern North Carolina.

We cannot do it alone. We need our community to stand with us, pray with us, share our mission, and help make this home a reality. Every donation, partnership, and act of support helps create a future where survivors have a safe place to heal and thrive.

If you would like to be part of building hope, please visit our website to become a monthly partner or make a one-time sacrificial gift to help us create a safe place for survivors to heal and rebuild.

Thank you for believing in futures that are bigger than circumstances and for supporting work that values dignity, hope, and opportunity. ❤️

Predators continue to use the Snapchat to target children for sextortion, grooming, and exploitation. Internal documents and whistleblower accounts suggest Snap repeatedly ignored or delayed important safety fixes to protect user engagement metrics. Features like disappearing messages, Quick Add, Snap Map, and My AI can make it easier for predators to contact, manipulate, and exploit minors, while making harmful interactions harder for parents to detect. Parents deserve to know the risks. Kids deserve safer online spaces. Learn more and take action at the link below. 👇

As the sun sets tonight, we’re pausing to count our blessings… and what a week it has been.

We welcomed a new survivor into the True Justice family—another life stepping out of darkness and into safety, hope, and restoration.

And in the same week, our board gave the green light to move forward with purchasing land in Swansboro—land that will become a place of healing, stability, and new beginnings for survivors of human trafficking.

This next step is big. It means building a transitional home where women can continue their journey—after the crisis, after the rescue—where they can truly begin to rebuild their lives, their identity, and their future.

Every sunset reminds us that even after the darkest day, light returns. God paints the sky with beauty and hope—and we see that same truth in every survivor who walks through our doors.

Now, we’re asking you to be part of this next chapter. To help us build a place where healing doesn’t just begin… it continues.

Because every survivor deserves more than escape.

They deserve restoration.

If you’ve ever wondered how you can make a difference—this is it.
✨ Help us build hope.
✨ Help us create a home.
