Improving the lives of people with Parkinson’s

What began as a daughter’s response to her father’s Parkinson’s diagnosis became a mission to change lives. Determined to make a difference, Bethany turned concern into action and attached a donation box to her bicycle and began pedaling – – one mile, one conversation, and one act of kindness at a time.

Supported by an incredible community, her efforts grew into Bike Box Project, which became an official non-profit in 2016. Today, the grass roots organization serves as a beacon of hope for people living with Parkinson’s and their caregivers across eastern North Carolina, providing programs, resources, connection, and a community where no one has to face the journey alone.

Friday, October 30th, we are kicking off the 11th annual Bernin’ to the Beach event at The Flying Fox in downtown New Bern! Swag bags, live music, and a chance to meet the crew.
