Here is another great free resource that could be helpful for young people and parents, especially those who have a hard time talking about topics that can be a bit uncomfortable.

Sessions start in May. Sign up for updates and registration information by following the link below.

From youth-led s*x ed for young people by young people; to resources for teachers who have shifted to remote learning; to discussion guides for parents, we're sharing it all. And we're keeping up the pressure on policy makers, too, so that now and in the future, all young people have what they need....

Good morning, ya'll! We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy during the pandemic. We had to take a little break to regroup, but wanted to let you know that we are still here - some of us are staying busy as essential workers through all of this!

Thank you for following and liking our page!

We wanted to share this offering with you, in case any of you (or a teen in your life) would like to participate in this free, virtual art lab by Frist Art Museum.

It's this afternoon but there are still a few spaces left! You don't need anything other than yourself, an on-line connection, and some recyclables or scrap items you have laying around the house/apartment/camper!

Hello. Fellow Teen K.EE. Club members and followers, hope everyone is staying safe and is in good spirits during this frightening pandemic. Covid-19 (Coronavirus) has pushed back many of our plans for our personal lives and events for our group as well, but prayerfully we will be able to resume back to our normal lives soon. I want to take a minute and share important information. Below I have listed a link from The World Health Organization (WHO) that has tips on how to protect yourself against COVID-19.

Hey, this is gabby...Teen K.E.E. Club has helped me not feel alone, and it has helped soothe my symptoms of depression. I have endured a lot of things growing up and I have been a victim of bullying, depression, and su***de contemplation, I have now found a peace of mind and I still struggle a little bit but not like before and I’m proud of that.

I think all youth should have access to supportive spaces, so we can feel safe and like we belong.

Hey this is Dionna Taylor from the teen K.E.E club. In the next few months we will be doing a social media campaign on stigma and harm reduction. A lot of our members have experienced stigmatization in some form. As a youth who was in foster care, people bullied me by saying things like "your own mom didn't even want you" and they avoided me and started rumors about our family.

Because of these experiences I felt awkward, embarrassed, weird and I felt like I had no worth.

We know that stigmatization is connected to self-harm, bullying, substance misuse, and a lot of other challenges our teens face.

Stay tuned for more posts about stigma and harm reduction from Teen K.E.E!

The youth are very busy this week, so they asked me to share this with you all on their behalf...

Teen K.E.E was awarded a mini grant from NC Council For Women and Youth Involvement 's State Youth Council, to support our website (in development) for a year AND to purchase two Playtronica devices to support our S.T.E.A.M. activities!!

I wrote the grant, with input from the youth. Next year they will be ready to write the grant themselves!!!

Thank you to the State Youth Council and NC Department of Health and Human Services for their continued support of Teen K.E.E. Club youth and Promise Place's prevention program!
