Our chapter was honored to participate in the Juneteenth HBCU & Divine Nine Day Celebration at Stanley White, joining fellow Divine Nine organizations, community leaders, and supporters in a meaningful celebration of history, culture, unity, and service.

Together, we reflected on the legacy of Juneteenth, celebrated the impact of Historically Black Colleges and Universities, and highlighted the collective contributions of the Divine Nine to our communities. Events like these remind us of the power of collaboration and the importance of preserving the traditions, values, and excellence that continue to inspire future generations.

We extend our appreciation to the Upsilon Tau Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., the Juneteenth of New Bern Committee, and all participating organizations for bringing the community together for such a memorable occasion.

Mrs. Nelson has poured into students for years through her leadership, guidance, and commitment to helping young people reach their full potential. From serving as a counselor and assistant principal at Bertie High School to her earlier work as a counselor in Jones County, she has consistently led with heart, purpose, and a deep belief in student success.
