Late last night Myles went on & on about how he had to be twins with a boy in his class for Twin Day because they look exactly the same- same eyes, same hair.

He was adamant that they were identical. So after the kids went to bed I headed to Walmart at 9pm to get matching outfits.

Their teacher sent me this picture today.
My heart melted.

Obviously two very different children, but Myles didn’t see that.

Wouldn’t the world be such a better place if we could all view it through the eyes of a couple 5yr olds♥️

Welcome to DERBY PARK FIGHTS BACK. As administrator of this page I am reaching out to ALL 7 subdivisions in Derby Park.
The reason for this page is to be an eye opener to each and every one of you as to the plans of the developers who have property from the west end of Derby Park on Elizabeth Avenue to as far as HWY 43. Their plans are for THEIR best interests and NOT for our neighborhoods. This is a critical time right now to fight back or forever hold your peace!
Please like, follow, email, and notify your friends and neighbors of this support page.
Thanks, Jane Gallagher, [email protected], Your Elizabeth Avenue Neighbor.

Hello to all Derby Park 7 subdivision residents. The support page here is for all of you to voice positive comments and suggestions in our effort to save our neighborhood from being overrun by construction equipment and trucks. I will present eye opening information about the new development and construction that is going on at the west end of Elizabeth Avenue. Our neighborhood street is our ONLY access road directly to Racetrack, Glenburnie, Hwy 70, and the city of New Bern. Elizabeth Avenue is the ONLY direct access for our police, fire department and EMT’s. So this effects ALL of us!

This is a GIS map provided to me from Seth Laughlin, New Bern City’s Land and Community Development Director. Note the very crowded area of homes on Elizabeth Avenue which is on the right of the map. Also note on the left of this area (west) is land that has no development and reaching as far as HWY 43. There is a green line from Elizabeth that reaches to West New Bern Blvd. with it’s new development. That was a “future” proposed road that would connect the two subdivisions. We are fighting to have a “egress” gravel construction road to be built BEFORE any further development starts that will take all the construction equipment and trucks out of our neighborhood and give them direct access to HWY 43. It is only COMMON SENSE to build the road and then build the subdivisions. This is what we of Derby Park subdivisions are fighting for!
