On May 30th we had an outing on Fox Lake. New faces mean new stories. Some good some not so much…but we are always learning.
1. Sometimes you don’t have to travel to the other side of the lake to catch fish.
2. Know what your buoy markers are from afar.
3. Don’t leave fish to find fish.
4. Personal bests are the BEST memories.
And many other stories.

Care to hear about them or wish to (Join our club) and create your own memories at a future event?

Come join us (Bring a friend or make new ones) at the New Berlin VFW. 6pm 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month.

The weekend of May 15 brought the club our Menomonee,Oconto,Peshtigo,Suamico (MOPS) outing. We were welcomed with sustained winds, cool and hot weather. Wouldn’t have it any other way! Fishing was tough for some but members sharing where the bite was happening during our nighty wrap up gave everyone the opportunity to change tactics.

It was great to see new members and old faces sharing stories and laughter.

Interested in seeing what we are about? Come to one of our 6pm meetings on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month located at the New Berlin VFW 17980 w Beloit Ave.

If you want to see what we are all about come to a meeting on the first and third Tuesday of each month at the New Berlin VFW 17980 W Beloit road. Meeting starts at 6pm.

On April 18th 21 club members volunteered at Brown Deer park for the annual Spring kids fishing clinic. 96 Kids participated in a seminar learning about the different aspects of fishing including baits, safety, species and many other topics followed by fish towel painting, casting, minnow races, how a fish is prepared to eat, tasting and of course fishing.

A special thanks to the following.
Kwik Trip for snacks, drinks and hot dogs.
Mills Fleet Farm for supplies and prizes.
Wisconsin Council of Sport Organizations for activities.
Hunger Task Force Fish Hatchery for stocking the pond.
Department of Natural Resources for rod/reel combos to use and regulation books.

All kids (including us older ones) had a great day.
