Hi! Rev. Angie here! May is almost upon us! The season of love, and new growth, the season of Beltane.
Each day, for 31 days, I'll be posting some words of wisdom collected from the Universe. I will not be giving attributions for them. And to do that as a practice does not require that you know the origin of the words immediately upon reading them. My friend Eric Fry is struggling right now. He’s in ICU, as a result of a weird, brain bleed. He’s stable, but not conscious, and he’s intubated. Many of you know Etic. He and his Beloved Laura Fry were our Earth Traditions community May Couple, 2012-2013. I sat with him for a few hours yesterday and I have hope that he will be able to steer a course back toward wellness; back to us. He wears the Helm of Awe tattooed on his right bicep. For those of you who do the work of our people, please direct your energy toward that symbol, creating a filter, a basket of healing that he can draw from at any time. (Thus avoiding the fire hydrant effect). I plan to spend time with that at the gloaming tonight. Not ready to let this one go yet. Also holding Laura, and the rest of the family with compassion and strength. Please join me if you can. (Posted with permission)

The heartbreak of what is happening in North Carolina and other areas impacted by the hurricanes is only matched by the intensity of backbreaking work required to help get things barely livable for the people still there. It is easy to forget if you are not impacted by it. Donations are appreciated but even more than that - your thoughts, remembrances and awarenesses are desired. There's a lot roiling under the surface. Militant and well monied groups coming in, being uber helpful with supplies, search and rescue etc however, with agendas. Groups that just happen to be hard, rightwing, #45 supporting, christians. They're predatory; low balling real estate purchases from the elderly, commandeering seemingly innocuous buildings for their "command centers" for distribution of supplies - buildings that also "just happen" to be polling places. Peeps - light your candles, send healing thoughts, strength, and protection for those on the ground, doing the work there. Particularly your Pagan kinfolk.
