This is a reminder that the trails are currently closed. They will remain closed due to a lack of a base, several wet spots, and the possibility of downed trees.

02/17/2026

Please be advised that the club will be closing the trails due to the recent warmup and current weather conditions. These changes will also be updated on the NYSSA app. We hope for another storm or two to improve conditions soon.

As a reminder, negative comments will be deleted. We would like to extend a special thank you to the landowners, volunteers, and club members for their ongoing support.

2/4/2026 - Club groomed C6 from T's Diner to Mt. Upton and will finish working back north this afternoon.

Please remember that it is very important to stay between the stakes. We have noticed several spots toward Mt. Upton where riders are not staying on the marked trail. Please respect these boundaries, as landowners have the right to revoke access at any time.

Stay right, yield to groomers, and respect our riding privileges.

The club will be out with the groomer again today. We have officially opened the trails on the NYSSA map system. Please exercise caution while riding, as there may be fallen trees that have come down since the trails were marked. A tree was cleared in Hunts Pond last night.

Please remember to stay to the right, respect the landowners, and stay between the stakes.

Club is working on packing trails from New Berlin on C6 towards Mt Upton. Yield to the groomer and remember to stay right, stay between the stakes and respect the land owners.

Due to the current weather forecast, we have made the decision to close the trails until we receive additional snowfall.

We appreciate your cooperation in respecting this decision. Please note that any negative comments regarding this post will be removed.

I am writing to address the group of snowmobilers that we encountered near the Ken Stead Road while signing trails today to ensure the safety of all riders.

The trails were still officially CLOSED. Furthermore, the group was not staying within the marked stakes. This behavior ruins the trail system for everyone else. (Just today two reports from property owners that were not happy).

Club is opening the trails for now and will montior conditions day by day. Keep in mind our neighboring clubs may not be complete. When riding our trails, you must keep it between the stakes, stay to the right, and respect the property owners. If you cannot adhere to these basic guidelines, please stay home.

Thanks to the volunteers that put a lot time in to get the trails opened and the property owners that make possible to have a trail system.

We have received complaints from property owners on the southern end of the trails, which means the trails are currently CLOSED. Remember it takes one property owner to say no more and we no longer have a trail.

We still have work to complete between Ambler State Park and Mt. Upton, which was previously delayed due to hunting restrictions.

Please join us tomorrow at 9:30 AM at the SNB Firehouse to help complete the remaining trail work.

We also encourage you to reach out to neighboring clubs that are dealing with similar issues regarding a lack of volunteers.
