A huge thank‑you to the New Berlin West High/School Middle School community for welcoming us at Friday night’s football game and allowing us to collect donations after the first quarter.
In just a few minutes, we raised $266.50 — every dollar going directly toward childhood cancer research.
This moment was especially meaningful for us. Payton was a proud New Berlin West graduate, Class of 2020, who passed away in November 2021 after a courageous battle with Ewing’s Sarcoma. We launched the foundation in her honor to help fund the desperately needed research that gives kids and young adults a fighting chance.
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and we’re truly grateful to the school for giving us the opportunity to raise funds for a cause that remains so deeply underfunded.

We were happy to join the Make-A-Wish Golf Outing today. We presented them with a $10,000 check.

The mission of the Make-A-Wish Foundation is to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

Payton received her wish that we are so very grateful that she got to experience. It brought her so much despite what she was going through.

We are happy to give back so other children have joy during their toughest times.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Cancer took our daughter at just 19 years old.
Almost five years of fighting.
Five years of pain, courage, and hope.
And still, it stole her future.

We grieve every single day.
Grief doesn’t fade — it becomes something you carry.
It changes your family.
It changes your heart.
It changes everything.

But our grief fuels our fight.

We fight so no other family has to endure what ours did.
We fight for better research, better treatments, better outcomes.
We fight for the kids still battling today.
We fight for the ones taken too soon.

We fight for Payton.
Her strength.
Her legacy.
Her light.

This month — and every month — we honor her and every child affected by childhood cancer.
And we will never stop fighting for a future where no family loses their child to this disease.
