✨ This Week at Rotary ✨

The Rotary Club of Fall River was grateful to welcome Terri Belliveau, Director of Youth & Services at PAACA (Positive Action Against Chemical Addiction) New Bedford, as our guest speaker this week.

Terri shared an inspiring overview of PAACA’s work supporting individuals, youth, and families across Greater New Bedford through substance use prevention, recovery support, youth development programs, education, and community outreach. From empowering young people with life skills and mentorship opportunities to providing critical resources for individuals and families impacted by addiction, PAACA plays a vital role in strengthening our community and creating pathways toward healthier futures.

Programs like PAACA’s remind us that prevention, education, and compassion are essential in building resilient communities — values that closely align with Rotary’s commitment to service and positive change.

We want to say an enormous thank you to Circle Earth Excavation, Gavin Alves and his Family for pulling together gifts and gift cards for an area Foster Family Event. They were extremely generous and there are at least 20 youth that will have something special under there tree because of them. Thank you for trusting that we would get your donations to the right families. Merry Christmas!

A huge thank you goes out to Fairhaven Police Department for donating 4 bags of toys to us to make sure they got out to families that need them. Thank you for entrusting that we will put them in the right hands. We found the perfect families.

Last Saturday our youth had the opportunity to help GFR Re-Creation, sprucing up the outside area and cleaning up after Halloween. Shout out to James Coyle from Advanced Tree Service who stopped to cut back some branches. Our youth did a great job and understand that helping others helps them.

PAACA Youth Services will be accepting winter clothing donations for youth ages 5 to 18. There are a lot of young people struggling with very few winter clothing items. Please join us in supporting these kids in their time of need. All donations will be distributed to youth and community partners that work with youth in need.
