After a recent conversation with a friend I feel it appropriate to share the following message with all of you.
My heart aches for the pain Nick's su***de brought upon all of you who are his family and friends. I know this was not what Nick wanted to leave you with, and maybe if he could have seen us now he wouldn't have made that awful choice for all of us. Whenever I have the opportunity, I let people know that su***de does not end the pain, it only transfers it to those of us who are left behind.
For us who knew and loved Nick, it is so unfair what we have gone through, but I hope you can find some comfort in knowing that Nick's passing motivated many of us to act. Because of that, lives have been saved, for some college has been made affordable, art has been created and for others dreams that may not have been possible were realized.
That is his legacy.💚
