Cardboard boat race!

The cardboard boat races were hilarious to say the least. Elizabeth and Charlie’s boat sank as soon as it hit the water. Chris’s boat was a no go but he tried getting across. It was Sofia and Regina’s boat, piloted by Charlie’s brother and sister, that took home the bragging rights, making it all the way back. Congratulations to all and thanks to Joe Pacheco and Dennis Pacheco for all your help. There is a video in the next post. This was so fun!!! ⚓️🛟⚓️⚜️⛵️📦🛶🌊

For any one interested, there is a free activity for anyone who wants to come (scout or not) this Saturday (27th of August). The Coast Guard Auxiliary will be running a damage control trailer. This is a training event that teaches sailors how to deal with damaged water pipes. It is a great learning experience for anyone interested in a career in the maritime industry, and a fun way to get wet too. If you are intrested, no RSVP needed. Just show up. The trailer will be set up in the parking lot located at 80 Middle Street, Fairhaven from 10am-2pm.
