Ancient philosophy, Stoicism, flourishing and living well with aphasia. This summer we'll be doing a look at how ancient philosophy supports living well with aphasia. Ancient philosophy??? Yes indeed. These ideas have stood the test of time for over 2,000 years and still apply to this day. So it warrants a further look. "Purpose and Practice: Living well with the Stoics" kicks off this summer for people with aphasia and care partners.

We have an 8-week group session online or in person that breaks down time-tested, 2000 year old principles and how these ideas can support living well and flourishing with aphasia. Each weekly session focuses on a core idea—such as courage, justice, wisdom, or temperance—and connects it to everyday life with aphasia.

If you're someone with aphasia or a carepartner, please join us! Please share with your aphasia networks as well. We'll be offering two sessions per week (Tuesdays, 6:30 - 7:30 pm CST; or Wednesdays, 9:00 - 10:00 am CST). Both sessions will be the same each week so just pick one per week.

We'll provide a daily journal to each person that registers to use throughout the summer. Additionally, there will be individual practice and application sessions on a 1:1 basis throughout the summer.

This is FREE. To register, email Tom Sather ([email protected]) or let us know if you have any questions.
