Chippewa Valley Aphasia Camp A camp that offers people with aphasia and their family activities and resources to increase social interaction and facilitate communication success.

The Chippewa Valley Aphasia Camp is held at the YMCA Camp Manitou on Long Lake near New Auburn. It is a camp where people with aphasia and their families/friends have the opportunity to engage in activities and gather resources to increase social interaction and facilitate
communication success. Participants are able to be involved in a variety of activities such as biking, archery, crafts, hiking

, cooking, golf, woodworking, technology, and many other activities that involve conversation and socialization. There is also a day retreat for the heart and soul of caregivers. Staff at the camp consists of skilled professionals, including speech
pathologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, registered nurses and trained volunteers. In addition, musicians, artists, a massage therapist, yoga and fitness instructors, and other professionals lead selected activities.
