🪄 Unearth a Story is a 45-minute family magic show that brings books to life with wonder, laughter, and unforgettable moments. The show blends amazing magic, light juggling, whimsical puppetry, and clean, interactive comedy that keeps kids and adults engaged from start to finish. Each magical moment connects back to a book introduced by myself, highlighting the power of imagination and the joy of reading. Audience members don’t just watch the magic—they become part of it, helping to unlock hidden surprises, discover secrets within books, and “unearth” the treasures of storytelling.

The flowers outside the Center are looking nice with all the moisture from Mother Nature. We have a lovely couple here in New Albin that keep the flower beds looking great all season long!

Monday, June 29th at The Townhouse!

Friends Of Pool 9 is dedicated to preserving our wildlife here in pool 9 and a part of our focus is saving our turtles and nests from from car strikes and nest predation. June is Dairy Month….so our friends at Farmers Union Cooperative in New Albin (formerly Valley Ag 😉)want to celebrate!!! Free Soft Serve Ice Cream inside the office June 9-11th during business hours (8-4pm) AND on Friday the 12th from 8am to noon!

Today we celebrate Donnie Vonderohe. Donnie was a huge part of New Albin, working as a city guy and then managing the New Albin Community Center for 23 years! He was a constant source of information and always had a story to go along with it! Our condolences go out to his wife, Helen, and his family and friends. We’ll miss you, Donnie!
