The City of New Albany is partnering with the New Albany Housing Authority, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority to host a Homeownership Fair designed to help current and future homeowners navigate the path to owning a home.

Meet with lenders, REALTORS®, builders, and other housing professionals to learn about financing options, down payment assistance programs, homebuyer resources, and the steps needed to achieve homeownership. Attendees will also have access to informational tools, local resources, giveaways, door prizes, and activities for kids. We also want to give a special shoutout to the Southern Indiana REALTORS® Association for helping us get the word out about this event!

Mayor Jeff Gahan said, "Increasing homeownership opportunities remains a priority for New Albany because strong neighborhoods begin with families who can put down roots and invest in their community. Hoosier Action leaders kicked off the first civic Saturday in New Albany packing 125+ kits of essential items for our unhoused neighbors. While prices continue to rise and resources are stripped away, now is the time for people across New Albany to join together and pitch in for our neighbors and our town.

NEW ALBANY – The New Albany City Council voted Monday to pass an ordinance changing the way hazardous tree removal works in the city.
