Many believers neglect studying the Bible because they don't understand how beneficial it is for them. Paul told Timothy the main purpose of diligent study of the scriptures is this key benefit:

It reveals to you that you are approved, accepted, and loved by God the Father.

With that revelation you become a workman who will never need to be ashamed, because someone who is loved approved and accepted by God has nothing to be ashamed about. As your heart fully grasps this truth, it grows you into a person who rightly divides the Word of Truth.

Your own personal time in God's word creates a virtuous cycle where you share the truth with others so they too come to understand how approved, accepted, and loved by God they are as well.

The key is making it a priority in your life to invest time in the presence of God as you study the Bible to gain clarity on what He has to say to your heart.

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. — 2 Timothy 2:15 (NKJV)

The Bible tells us that when we pray according to God's will, not only will He hear our prayers, but we will have whatever we ask Him for. That's an amazing promise right there.

The praying according to God's will is the part that trips some believers up. They think it means God will only answer their prayers if they are in line with some mysterious, nearly unknowable plan God has for their lives.

In truth, the Bible is just encouraging us that it’s God’s will for His children ask Him for good things and learn to receive them from Him instead of going out and trying to get them on their own. Even so, it’s should be obvious that if we ask Him for things which are prohibited to us in the Bible, then He’s not going to give those ungodly things to us.

Regardless, one sure way to be confident you are praying according to the will of God is to pray God's own words back to Him. When you see a promise or blessing in the Bible, you can pray that back to God with the confidence of knowing it is His will for you to have it because He already said it was when He promised it to you.

It’s certainly God’s will that you ask Him for those things which He already promises to you in the Bible and believe that you receive them from Him.

Make it a habit for the next year to pray God's promises back to Him and then expect to receive them. It will change your relationship with God forever!

This is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. So if we know that He hears whatever we ask, we know that we have whatever we asked of Him. — 1 John 5:14-15 (MEV

Did you know that Jesus supplies each of us with armor made of light? It's true. When we cast off the works of darkness and start to truly love others, we are putting on the light of Jesus.

That light acts as armor to protect us from harm. The enemy whispers that doing what you know is right will destroy you. He tries to keep you in darkness through the power of fear. Don't believe his lies.

Even if you happen to lose a particular battle because you did what was right, you will go on to win the war. The battle is fierce. You will overcome victoriously when you keep wearing the armor of light Jesus supplies for you.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. — Romans 13:12 (NKJV)

The Bible shows us a simple process to completely transform our lives so that we can know and experience God's will for us. All it takes is renewing our mind to the truth found in God's word. It's that simple.

It is, however, a process.

That process is worth the effort, because God's will for your life is good, meaning it's beneficial. It adds to your life and doesn't subtract. God's will for you is acceptable, meaning it is agreeable and brings peace, not fear, into your life. And God's will for you is perfect, meaning it is in every way complete with nothing lacking.

God is willing. The real question is this. Are you willing to renew your mind so that you can experience God's best?

If you're wondering what God's will is for your life, now you know. The same transformation which comes with renewing your mind will also reveal your destiny.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. — Romans 12:2 (MEV)

Jesus said that when you bear fruit, you do two things. First, you glorify God in your fruitfulness. The reason God is glorified becomes obvious when we understand what Jesus meant in His discussion of fruit in John chapter 15.

We have a tendency to see fruitfulness as overcoming or having a positive influence in others. For example, evangelists tend to see winning souls as producing fruit. Nothing wrong with that.

But Jesus said in John 15:16 that He was talking about the fruitfulness of answered prayers. God is glorified when you see your prayers answered. This is why we do well to pray bold, faith-filled prayers by making specific requests to God.

Think about it. The more specific we are in our prayers, the more glory God gets when He answers the down to those specific details because it then becomes much more difficult for the world to dismiss it as coincidence.

Answered prayers are fruit that remains because once God answers one of your prayers, you have a testimony of His goodness which lasts forever. And Jesus intends for you to bear a whole lot of that kind of fruit because the second thing it does is this. It shows the world that you are one of His disciples.

What's the surest way to see your prayers answered? Pray God's word back to Him. Hold God to His own promises. When you do that, He won't let you down because He cannot go back on His word!

In this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples. — John 15:8 (WEB)

Did you know that that stories you have about God working in your life are a powerful weapon against the forces of darkness in this world? The Bible says there are two weapons which overcome Loser-fer, the enemy of your soul: the blood of the Lamb, and the word of our testimony.

Sharing your story of how God came through for you is a far more compelling way to touch people’s hearts as you help people see the truth than just preaching scripture at them. It is the goodness of God which leads people to repentance, not the purity of your doctrine.

Share your own experience of God's goodness. The more concrete and personal your example(s) of His goodness working in your life you can share, the more compelling your testimony becomes for impacting hearts.

For example, when you pray bold, faith-filled prayers which are very specific, and God then answers your prayers down to those specific details, it becomes much harder for others to dismiss your experience with God as coincidence. Plus, Jesus said you glorify God when you see your prayers answered by Him.

Then, when you can backup your experience with scripture, when your experience is in line with the truth, you have the winning combination to see complete victory over the enemy.

Your story is more powerful than you realize!

They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death. — Revelation 12:11 (MEV)

Strife is one of the big problems in our world. Yet, as followers of Jesus we are called to be peacemakers. In fact, the Bible tells us to pursue peace with all people. But that doesn't mean you should become a doormat for everyone to walk over all the time.

For example, the best response to a bully for the long term is to stand up to him. Sometimes the quickest path to real peace is through confrontation. Unfortunately, many followers of Jesus don't understand healthy confrontation.

Plus, confrontation of any kind is hard and unpleasant. So many opt instead for the easier short-term solution, and avoid the confrontation all together. But that path leads to all sorts of other relationship problems.

You are empowered by the Holy Spirit to pursue peace, even when the path to peace leads through confrontation.

Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord. - Hebrews 12:14 (NKJV)

The world's Mammon system works on the principles of buying and selling. It's a hoarding system of lack where people take from others in order to have more for themselves. This is exactly backwards from the Kingdom of God.

The Kingdom's system is based on giving and receiving. It is a system of abundance where people give to others freely because there is always more blessing from God available. And He promises to bless us both spiritually and materially with all things.

In God's Kingdom, one of the main reasons people work is to provide resources which enable them to be generous to others. It changes your whole perspective when you choose to work for seed and make a living from your giving!

Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, producing with his hands something that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need. — Ephesians 4:28 (WEB)

Do you realize that, because you believe in Jesus, the Bible says God's blessings will come on you and overtake you? It doesn't make any sense to seek blessings from God. His blessings are going to be chasing you down and overtaking anyway, just because you are now in Christ.

Instead, seek God's Kingdom and His Kingdom ways. Invest time just being in His presence, praying and hearing what He has to say to your heart about who He created you to be. Discover your true new identity in Christ.

Learn the fullness of everything the gospel of Jesus Christ has made available for you. Grow to know so much about the very righteousness of God which you now have because you are in Christ that you begin to believe it. Let this understanding begin to change the way you think and how you respond to situations life brings your way.

Then all the other stuff that you want and need will be added to you anyway. You can count on this truth because Jesus Himself promises it to you.

And all these blessings will come on you and overtake you if you listen to the voice of the Lord your God. — Deuteronomy 28:2 (MEV)

You have a destiny. As a believer you are now positioned in Christ. Because Jesus carefully observed the Law and everything the Father told Him to do, it's just as if you did too.

One of the many promises which comes with this position you have in Christ is that the Lord will make you the head and not the tail. You are destined to be above and not beneath. There is humility in this because it is about Jesus and what He's done, not about anything you do to deserve this position.

So if you feel like you are the tail getting dragged around, know this. Where you are now is not where you are destined to be. Seek God and His wisdom to know what you need to change so that you are better positioned for promotion.

Instead of seeking the promotion directly, seek God. Invest time in your relationship with Him. Read the Bible. Meditate on the scriptures you read. Think about how they apply to you personally, now that you are in Christ. In your prayer time, allow God to use these truths to change how you see yourself in your own heart as you come to truly understand your new identity in Christ.

Be patient and allow Him to promote you are just the right time. In the meantime, hold onto that promise of your true position of leadership in Christ, knowing it is your ultimate destiny.

And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them. — Deuteronomy 28:13 (NKJV)
