A huge thank you to everyone who joined us this morning for our 9th Annual 5K Run/Walk Fundraiser!

We know the weather was far from ideal, so we especially appreciate everyone who still came out in the rain to support Open Door Youth Services and the youth we serve in our community. Thank you to our runners, walkers, volunteers, sponsors, staff, and community partners for helping make today possible. Events like this directly support our efforts to strengthen and improve our youth shelter and services for young people in crisis here in Southern Indiana. We’re incredibly grateful for the support shown today and apologize again for the rainy conditions.

At this time, our 9th Annual 5K Run/Walk is still moving forward as planned! We are continuing to closely monitor the weather forecast and will communicate any important updates, delays, or schedule changes on our page if needed.

Thank you for your patience and support, and we look forward to seeing everyone this morning!

We’re excited to see everyone tomorrow morning for our 9th Annual 5K Run/Walk!

For race-day registration, merchandise, cape purchases, and donations, we will accept:
• Cash
• Checks
• Venmo
• Cash App
• PayPal

Race-day pricing:
• Adult Registration: $30
• Youth Registration: $15
• Open Door branded shirts: $15
• Superhero capes: $5

The event is currently still planned as rain or shine. Please dress accordingly for the weather, and feel free to bring umbrellas or rain gear as needed. We are continuing to monitor the forecast and will post any important updates on our page if necessary.

Check-in opens at 9 AM at the New Albany Amphitheatre stage. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

🚗 Parking & Check-In Information: Parking will be available along Water Street and in the YMCA parking lot located across the train tracks from the Amphitheatre. Please make sure to check in at the Amphitheatre stage before 10 AM to receive your race bib number and get checked into the event.

Race-day check-in will begin at 9 AM.

🌦 Weather Update for Saturday’s 5K Run/Walk: We are continuing to monitor the weather forecast for Saturday morning. At this time, our 5K Run/Walk remains a rain or shine event. Participant safety is our top priority, and we are actively working on a weather plan should conditions change.
