Due to an unforseen issue with the trial site, the August 9-10 ACSI Trial is CANCELLED.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
We will be issuing refunds for entry fees.
A little more detail about the cancellation of this weekend’s ACSI trial since rumors are flying and we initially wanted to get the word out quickly: We found out very late in the afternoon Silver Street Park double-booked the building both days this weekend. We tried to work with them to move the other events outside or to a later time, but they were unwilling to cancel or move those events. They offered us the building until early afternoon and one of the soccer fields outside, but we just didn’t see a way we could make it feasible. Moving the equipment in and out would cause significant delays to already long trial days, and we ultimately just didn’t feel it was safe to run outside given the extreme heat and history of loose neighborhood dogs. It was a very tough call, and many of us were scrambling to make phone calls to the facility, AKC, etc. to be clear about what changes we could make and weigh all our options. Given more time, we might have been able to make it work, but ultimately, we didn’t want any humans or dogs to be put at risk. We apologize for the inconvenience, because we know many of you were already on the road or had driven to New Albany with non-refundable hotel stays by the time we put the word out. We’re disappointed, but we hope to see you for our September 6-7 trial, which we've confirmed with SSP. 🙂
