Last Friday, the TBS Sharyonim Choir took the stage (Bima) to welcome Shabbat in song! 🎶🎤
Our annual Broadway Shabbat is a favorite every year — with performances of Broadway songs and Show Tune-inspired Shabbat Blessings & Prayers!
Thanks to our Sharyonim leadership — TBS Music Director & Cantorial Soloist Gail Rose & Sharyonim Choir Director Debbie Costa, to our talented musicians — Scot Ashton, Jen Griffaton, & Al Slabodkin, to our Tech Team — Jan Cohen & Nate Terry, and to every one of our Sharyonim Choir Members!

Summer is here and last Friday, we took advantage of some beautiful early June weather and took our Family-Friendly First Friday Shabbat Service to the patio! ☀

The breeze, the sound of the rustling leaves, and the setting sun were the perfect backdrop for our annual Summer Camp Send-Off Shabbat! Rabbi Benjy shared a special blessing for the kiddos who are heading off to camp for the summer and we finished the night with a camp-themed dinner and outdoor sports & mahj fun! What an amazing way to welcome Shabbat AND summer!

The warmer weather is finally here to stay! To celebrate, our Lunch Bunch group welcomed Master Gardener Shelley Baeslack as our May presenter. 👩‍🌾🌷🌱🌾
Shelley discussed better gardening techniques for seniors, the right plants for our region, and gave tips to deter garden pests (and even debunked some internet tips!).

The Franklin County Master Gardener program is open to Franklin County residents who are amateur gardeners. Trainees receive 50 hours of training in horticultural topics. Training topics include: botany, plant nomenclature, understanding soils and fertilizer, plant pathology, entomology, integrated pest management, pesticide safety, growing vegetables and fruits, woody and herbaceous ornamentals, home lawn management, plant diagnostics.
In return, trainees volunteer 50 hours of community service. Once training and community service are completed, the trainee is certified as a Master Gardener.

Our next Lunch Bunch program is a family-friendly game of BINGO! Grandparents, parents, and kiddos who are home for the summer are invited to join in on the fun on Thursday, June 25 at 12pm! More info coming soon!
