It takes a village.. or maybe an army of unsung heroes to put on an event like Senior Games, so here are this year’s Ruby Jubilee’s unsung heroes (in no particular order, and we apologize if we left anyone out):
Beth P: our awesome photographer (and longest running participant – all 40 years!)
Larry M: our water boy – thanks for hauling our water, ice and coolers ALL week to every event!
Marcella M: she helped out all week and we are sorry we tuckered her out!
Melinda H: thanks for keeping us so well organized!
Diego (“Go Go”) F: he stayed on the go all week hauling supplies, corn hole boards and people to so many events!
Lucy K: what we do without our DJ? Thanks for spinning all the great 80s hits all week long!
Patty C: what can we say? Your name is on our shirts! AND you win medals! And do push ups!
Tera S: We might all be afraid of you, but we could not do the Games without you keeping everyone honest, the scores in line and the rules in check!
Barb T and Chet V – thanks for being such great dance competition judges!
State Rep Ed C – our fan fave emcee of opening ceremonies and dance competition – keep those jokes coming!
Shalane R – our incredible nurse keeping us safe all week – even in her 80s hip hop garb!
Bill and Ruth L – thanks for helping out all year long on the Games committee!
Diane D – our amazing first time closing ceremonies emcee – what a great job – we WILL see you next year!
Ralph H – thanks for the great trip down our 80s memory lane!
And last but not least so many many thanks to Melissa R and Lucy K – your grandmaster funks of Senior Games – thanks for making this such a fun week for so many seniors!
