New Albany was doing what it does best this morning—coming together to support our community! Civic leaders, neighbors, and local organizations gathered to celebrate the official groundbreaking of the new New Albany Food Pantry.
The pantry has served more than 1,500 individuals and families annually, operating out of a New Albany Plain Local Schools building originally constructed in 1922.
Now, thanks to an incredible collaboration between Rose Run Presbyterian Church, New Albany, Ohio Government, generous community donors, the Foundation, and Healthy New Albany, a new, modern facility is now under construction.
This new space will not only support neighbors in need today but also offer the flexibility to expand services and fight food insecurity for years to come.
A special thank you and congratulations to two longtime New Albany families who stepped up to lead this vital campaign: The DeAscentis and Steinour families.
