We are deeply saddened by the passing of civil rights icon Professor Clarence B. Jones at age 95. New Albany was incredibly honored to host Dr. Jones back in 2011. His powerful interactions with our students and community helped inspire the creation of The New Albany Lecture Series and Student Lecture Series. The profound response to his visit showed the Foundation and our donors the impact of bringing people together for lifelong learning.

Dr. Jones leaves behind an extraordinary legacy. As a premier civil rights lawyer and trusted advisor to Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., he famously helped draft the "I Have a Dream" speech and organize the 1963 March on Washington. His work on the Voting Rights Act of 1965 broke down systemic barriers and changed our nation.

We will forever be grateful to have known Professor Jones and we honor his lifetime of impact in service to human rights.

The Foundation proudly awarded a record-breaking $44,500 in scholarships to graduating New Albany High School seniors during the Community Scholarships and Department Awards Night hosted by New Albany-Plain Local Schools on May 20. This exceptional investment in our students' futures was generously fueled by Microsoft, Vantage Data Centers, the Captain Carwash Entrepreneurial Enrichment Fund, and the New Albany Realty Association Fund.

To the scholarship funders, we thank you for investing in bright young minds who worked hard to achieve academic success. To the scholarship recipients, we wish you all the best as you enter the next chapter of your journey. We are all very proud and happy for you!

Booms, busts, and bubbles—market history took center stage on 60 Minutes this weekend. One of our featured speakers for the upcoming New Albany Lecture Series season shared crucial insights on past economic trends and their lessons for today's financial future. Andrew Ross Sorkin, an award-winning financial journalist and author, will be interviewed by Rana Foroohar on April 20, 2027 in the closing program of our 14th lecture series season. Seems like a long way off but we know this lecture will be popular. Tickets go on sale later this summer.

Stocks on Wall Street have rallied in recent months, but author Andrew Ross Sorkin sees a crash coming. The question is: when will the bubble pop, and how much will the market slump when it does?

Over 37,440 students and counting! 🎓

The New Albany Student Lecture Series continues to bring together high schoolers from across Central Ohio to learn from world-class speakers. Through our incredible partnership with Park National Bank, students can turn those insights into tuition. By submitting a short essay or video about what they learned, participants can win a $1,000 educational scholarship!

We are happy to highlight the TWO winners of the scholarships this season, Elianne Lefebvre of New Albany High School and Jonah Davis of Bexley High School! Their essays in reaction to our Civil Discourse and Debate program featuring James Carville and Reince Priebus landed the scholarship funds.

Thank you to Park National for this collaboration that benefits students and their educational pursuits! And thank you to Park National representatives McPherson and Mathews for presenting the great news to Elianne and Jonah!
