Jonathan Leitersdorf, the owner of and hotel partner Six Senses get ink in the NYPost for their resort in Ibiza. Currently Leitersdorf has proposals in for a high end wellness resort on his acreage in Willowemoc, although the public and town board seem to prefer the development of housing.

A new Six Senses hotel, a new wellness festival called Alma and an influx of fresh blood recasts party-rife Ibiza as a place to find your Zen.

What is driving the seeming preference for a large, potentially 200+ unit housing project at in the Town of Neversink, which would see the majority of the 3,500 acre property developed, versus a high end resort with some housing on 25% of the property? Surely the environmental impact would be the same or greater by developing the whole thing.

Whether you're for or against the Dollar General in Neversink, it's important that the community not create a divisive we/they attitude. There's quite enough of that in the wider world, don't you think? People can disagree without being disagreeable.
