We, at SalutING Service want you to know that our priority is and always has been our veteran community.
In light of current PRIVATE matters that SalutING Service CAN NOT and WILL NOT speculate on, Dakota has already stepped down from any involvement with the organization projects.
Events such as The Wall That Heals are still important for our veterans and their families and will still take place as planned. There is a great and very strong committee dedicated to bringing this healing opportunity to Central Iowa and nothing about that has changed.
Main Street Nevada, IA is still the main host of this event and all information for the event can be found on their webpage at the following link.

The Wall That Heals is a 3/4 scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. The exhibit features The Wall and a mobile Education Center.

We have just over half of our volunteer shifts filled as of today!

Thank you to the amazing team at Story County Medical Center!
Today they chose to take a HUGE step toward promoting healing for our veterans and their friends and families! They have signed up for multiple volunteer shifts at The Wall That Heals this August as a team! They will be a great asset to this event and we feel lucky to have to have them on board!

Today I want to share my appreciation for our VOLUNTEERS!! I have said before that we have some of the absolute BEST volunteers out there and I will continue to say it LOUD AND PROUD!
Our volunteers never fail to show up when the call for help goes out! I am happy to share that that has not changed!
THEY KEEP SHOWING UP WHEN CALLED UPON!
Today, I can say thanks to these great people- we have filled 45%.... you read that right... 45% of the volunteers spots for The Wall That Heals when it comes to Nevada this August!!

Today, we take a moment to appreciate all the Vietnam Veterans out there. These men and women were not given a warm welcome home when they returned. Even years after their return home, many have suffered and continue to suffer with complications of their service. They are true heroes and should be treated as such!
In August, you can join us along with Main Street Nevada as we honor the service members lost in Vietnam, the ones who came home only to face a new fight (PTSD, Agent Orange for example) and ultimately lost that fight, and we will show our true gratitude and appreciation to the ones still here fighting the good fight, as we welcome The Wall That Heals into Nevada from Aug. 6-Aug. 10!

Our amazing followers, community members and businesses just continue to amaze me! We knew from the start that filling almost 300 volunteer shifts was going to be our biggest challenge BUT I am thrilled to say that we are officially 40% of the way there!!
