Our new electrical system is in for our Greenhouse which is now ready for our students in Ag to use!

Funding came partially from a grant and partially from board approved funds.

We are looking for more grants to complete our greenhouse correctly with the other needed additions. If you see any that we may qualify for contact [email protected].

Our members travelled to the Scott County Invitational Land contest on Wednesday the 16th. The students did well for this being 2/3 first time competing.

They placed 13th as a team and Izzy P placed 14th overall out of 140 students. Great start to the FFA Season!

Growing Healthy Eagles Grant Update:

Almost all of our plants are growing and are being transplanted as they get bigger, as well as our shop students are done with grinding the greenhouse tables and will be adding a fresh coat of paint and movable trellises to them next week.

The FFA hosted our first meeting today where they learned about S.M.A.R.T. Goals and wrote 3 goals that encompassed the FFA, Ag Class and General school. We have over 85% attendance from our High School FFA members 💙💛

We are starting our Living to Serve Grant, which is Growing Healthy Eagles. We began today with planting and will continue planting seeds this week. We anticipate having our first snacks for Pre-K through 12th grade begin in October. We are excited to supply these snacks through this year and plan to continue through the coming years.

The Ness City FFA is a Living to Serve Year-Long Grant recipient. Read more below!

The Ness City FFA would address food insecurity within our community by providing fresh produce to elementary and high school students. By increasing access to nutritious foods we will be able to engage students in food production and what it takes to stay healthy. The chapter would also hang posters about nutritious alternatives to traditional snack foods.

Hi all,

We are posting our Sponsorship opportunities early this year, Officers will be out and about in August talking to you!

We are adding new opportunities to sponsor individual items such as: Jackets, Swag Items, 1st Semester winner and Overall winner.

This year the FFA will be adding a raffle which members can earn a ticket by competing in an event. They can earn an additional ticket if they are in the top 10. The next day a ticket will be drawn and that member will choose a Swag item. The members tickets who were not drawn stay in for each drawing. The two big prizes are: 1st semester an FFA apparel item and 2nd semester an FFA buckle or necklace. All members who attend events are able to have the chance at winning these prizes.

We do only need:
10 FFA Jacket Sponsors
5 FFA Swag Sponsors
1 First Semester Sponsor
1 Second Semester Sponsor
