CALLING all 4-Hers to participate in the 4-H Exhibit Day! Entries are due on September 10th! This is the TAG to put on your exhibits so we know who's it is and what lot/category it belongs in. Below is a link where you can access a PDF copy and download it at home. We have printed copies at the DeSoto County Extension Office if you want us to print it! Please add a TAG to each item you bring to 4-H Exhibit Day. If you need help deciding where something belongs let us know we can assist in this! Tagging items will help us so much at check in when you drop items off between 9 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Sept. 10.

🌟 Future Leaders Wanted! 🌟

Are you a 4-H Shooting Sports member who loves helping others and wants to take your leadership skills to the next level?

The Mississippi 4-H Shooting Sports Assistant Instructor Program gives youth ages 14-20 the opportunity to work alongside certified instructors, mentor younger members, and begin their journey toward becoming a certified 4-H Shooting Sports Instructor. Eligible youth can earn Assistant Instructor certification and transition to Level I Instructor certification at age 21 if requirements are met.

✅ Develop leadership skills
✅ Share your knowledge with younger shooters
✅ Gain valuable teaching and mentoring experience
✅ Make a difference in your local 4-H program

Interested youth must be enrolled in a Mississippi 4-H Shooting Sports program, have at least two years of experience in their discipline, complete required training, and be nominated by a certified instructor or Extension agent.

Safety. Leadership. Mentorship. 🎯

Earlier this week 4-H Grab and Go Kits & Extension Brown Bag Grab and Go Kits were delivered to local libraries! Go grab yourself a kit. Inside you will find 4 experiments (with supplies for a couple)! We also have kits here at our office. Available while supplies last at each location.

It's HOT🔥 outside, AND this kit 🛍 can help keep you and your family engaged with fun family activities this weekend so you can stay COOL❄️inside!

PLEASE complete the QR codes so we can have some impact data for our reporting & to see if the kit are still a valuable resource for the community. We have been doing these kits for 6+ years now‼
